... and kiss her

Before moving to the west coast, there were a limited number of people in LA that I knew. Fortunately, after joining the Vanbros pageant family in 2001, I was introduced to girls during state pageants and the 15th year Anniversary for Vanbros in Kansas. That's where the connect was made with Kasie Head, a former Miss winner from Oklahoma who came to LA and became a Deal or No Deal girl. It was her walls that introduced to the talented artist, Dan Wooster.

His art is raw, emotional and insanely good. Each of his pieces exude dark confidence and are so varied yet similar in their depth and integrity. The studio where he creates his art smells of old wood, paint thinner and possibility. Dan is a mix of smarts, humor and insight who shares himself through his artistry. He is gracious, humble, funny and inquisitive while being absolutely tender and heartbreakingly human. I was immediately drawn to his art and now consider him a great friend. His art transformed my apartment into a dark yet cozy piece of heaven.

Here are some of his pieces.
