miss merrie christmas

The Miss Merrie Christmas Pageant will be hosted by the Gillioz Theatre in historic downtown Springfield on Saturday Dec. 6th from 6:00-8:00pm. This is not your run-of-the-mill beauty pageant, instead the focus is on academic achievement and community spirit. Junior and Senior young women in Greene and Christian county high schools are encouraged to apply, the deadline is Oct. 15th. Winners receive over $2500.00 in scholarship money and gifts and are honored at the annual Christmas Parade in downtown Springfield Saturday Dec.13th at 1:00pm. 

Miss Merrie Christmas was my very first pageant my junior year at Glendale High School. MMC is a junior/senior pageant for girls in public schools and highlights community service and extracurricular activities along with answering a final question once the top finalists are selected.
